LH Muse: Amy Lefevre
How do you describe your style?
My style is eclectic, comfortable, and spontaneous. I usually pick my outfit the day of and right before I head out the door based on my mood!
What’s your wakeup ritual?
Every morning, without fail, I do a quick shower, grab an oat latte (probably the most important part of day), read through emails, and lay out all my to dos for the day.
What are three things you can’t live without?
Coffee, my phone (it is literally my livelihood), and meditative/self-care activities to relax
What do you hope never changes?
I hope that we all continue to feed our need to learn and work towards being kinder to each other.
Do you have a piece of jewelry that you wear every day?
My Logan Hollowell Third Eye Diamond Necklace. I wear it everywhere I go and every day!
Yellow gold, rose gold or white gold?
Yellow gold, hands down!
What’s one thing people don’t know about you?
Most people don't know that I speak Wolof, a regional language of West Africa. I mostly speak in a hybrid of French, English and Wolof to most of my family!
What’s inspiring you in life right now?
I am super inspired by all the shared hope and ability for humanity to try to identify solutions for an unprecedented set of crises.
What book should everyone read?
Sapiens is such an interesting read and really makes to think about our overall place in the universe. It helps put life into perspective and makes you appreciate who we are as a collective.
What do you wish you knew more about?
Science is so critical to our current existence. I want to learn more about all the science we have learned over time and how it has become our source of truth during a time when so much is called into question.
What’s your astrological sign?
A proud Capricorn :)
What’s your ideal Friday night?
A night in with a glass of wine and cuddling up with my partner as we watch a new movie!
What accomplishment are you most proud of?
I am super proud of the empowerment and confidence with which I can carry myself. I was bullied when I was younger, so I was not always a very confident person, but I have realized how to truly love myself over the years.
What does a femininity mean to you?
Feminity is all about strength, confidence, and refusing to take any BS as you chart your course through life
Your affirmation for today?
Today is your new chance to empower yourself and the world.
What message do you want to tell the world?
My message would be that we should all work harder to set aside our differences and realize that we have so much more in common
What destination is next on your travel list?
It has been several years since I have seen my grandmother and I am so excited to be able to visit her in Senegal soon!
What’s your favorite quote?
"I’m a believer in the power of knowledge and the ferocity of beauty, so from my point of view, your life is already artful—waiting, just waiting, for you to make it art,” - Toni Morrison
If you had one superpower, what would it be?
It would definitely be the ability to fly and be in the clouds :)
What advice would you have given yourself 5 years ago?
I would tell myself to value failures and hardships as lessons in personal growth instead of feelings of dejection.
